Biography
Michael Phoenix is a dedicated personal injury attorney and recognized National Top 100 Trial Lawyer, committed to helping injured individuals secure the compensation and justice they deserve. Guided by the firm’s mission to ethically and aggressively advocate for the injured, Michael brings a powerful blend of academic excellence, sharp analytical skill, and a results-driven mindset to every case he handles.
Originally from Massachusetts, Michael built his legal career on a foundation of rigorous scholarship and a deep commitment to advocacy. He graduated summa cum laude from Syracuse University in 2000 with a double major in Political Science and Economics. He later attended the University of Oregon School of Law before earning his Juris Doctor cum laude from Hamline University School of Law in 2007.
Since his admission to the Minnesota bar in 2007, Michael has devoted his practice to representing injured individuals and guiding them through the legal system with clarity and confidence. He is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota (since 2008) and in Iowa (since 2019), allowing him to advocate for clients across multiple jurisdictions.
Michael is an active member of both the Minnesota Association for Justice and the Iowa Association for Justice, staying engaged with developments in personal injury law and continually refining his approach to client advocacy.
Beyond his legal work, Michael is committed to community involvement. He participates in the firm’s ongoing volunteer initiatives, including annual support for the Susan G. Komen Race in Eagan, quarterly donations to The Open-Door food shelf, contributions to the Dakota County Adopt-a-Family program during the holiday season, and participation in the City of Eagan’s biannual roadway
clean-up efforts.
Michael resides in Saint Paul with his wife and two children. Outside the office, he enjoys reading, hiking, cooking, soccer, basketball, and family time.
